AVSil Silica Rope

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AVSil amorphous Silica Ropes are used for high temperature packings and sealing applications. To improve handling and installation of the AVSil Silica Rope, it has the standard H coating which will start to decompose at a temperature above 500°F (260°C). There are two rope constructions available - Twisted and Braided. Application temperature are up to 1800°F (980°C).

AVSil Silica Ropes can be surface modified upon request with knitted wire constructions to improve surface abrasion resistance and compression properties.

Standard roll size is 100 ft. except BR-H-1 which is supplied in 75 ft. rolls. BR-1 3/8 and BR-2 are uncoated and supplied in 45 ft. ą 10% lengths. The BR-2 is jacketed with an outer sleeve.
