AVSil Silica Fabrics give superior protection from weld slag and welding sparks in hot work protection and meet MIL-I-24244 and MIL-C-24576(SH) specifications.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AVSil amorphous Silica Fabrics are high temperature fabrics used for a wide range of insulation and protection applications such as welding curtains, welding blankets and welding pads. AVSil has a minimum silicon dioxide content of 96% for optimum performance. AVSil Silica Fabrics can be fabricated into many forms to withstand continuous temperatures up to 1800°F (980°C) for various periods of time.

AVSil Silica Fabrics are available with our standard hydrocarbon coating (CH Series) or with a proprietary abrasion resistant coating (CSR Series). The CH Series can be used in any ventilation situation and will burn off with very little visual smoke and no odor.

AVSil Silica Fabrics can be fabricated with grommets.

Silica Products will have varying degrees of effectiveness for each potential application depending on the maximum temperature attained, the length of use, and the amount of temperature fluctuation.
